Cooperative hydrogen bonding and structural instability in water

چکیده

2014 We propose a model for liquid water in which the bonding states of each molecule are represented by a 5-level equivalent system. The structural effects are taken into account in a theoretical approach of the « meanfield » type, the mean-field (internal pressure) being supposed to decrease when the number of 4-bonded molecules increases. The model predicts the dependence of several thermodynamical parameters on T and P, and the existence of a structural stability limit which implies a divergence of 03B1P, 03B2T and Cp in the supercooled state. The existence of a structural critical point is discussed. J. Physique 44 (1983) 1201-1208 OCTOBRE 1983, 1 Classification Physics Abstracts 61.20 64.30

Studies of Hydrogen Bonding Effects on DiPalmitoyl Phosphatidyl Etanolamine (DPPE) by theoretical Methods

Hydrogen bonding of DPPE with water that surrounded of membrane, plays an important role in permeability ofmembrane that we were presented this matter with analysis of bond angles and torsion angles before and after ofadded water molecules.Interaction with water molecules causes some changes in the geometry of DPPE which were explained bythe contribution of zwitterionic form of DPPE molecule, a...

Inductive Effect of Bioactive Intermolecular Hydrogen Bonding Complex of 1,2,4,5 –Tetrazine and Inorganic Acid by NMR and QTAIM

In this paper, NMR and QTAIM analysis for three substituted of T2SA complex was investigated in the gas and four solvents at DFT level. Intermolecular O–H…N hydrogen bonds between 1,2,4,5-Tetrazine and Sulphurous acids enhance the stability of complex.1,2,4,5-Tetrazine is a highly reactive diene for [4+2] inverse-Diels–Alder cycloaddition processes and an excellent precursor to attain the pyrid...

Tuning the mechanical properties of graphene oxide paper and its associated polymer nanocomposites by controlling cooperative intersheet hydrogen bonding.

The mechanical properties of pristine graphene oxide paper and paper-like films of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-graphene oxide nanocomposite are investigated in a joint experimental-theoretical and computational study. In combination, these studies reveal a delicate relationship between the stiffness of these papers and the water content in their lamellar structures. ReaxFF-based molecular dynamics ...

Evidences for Cooperative Resonance-Assisted Hydrogen Bonds in Protein Secondary Structure Analogs

Cooperative behaviors of the hydrogen bonding networks in proteins have been discovered for a long time. The structural origin of this cooperativity, however, is still under debate. Here we report a new investigation combining excess infrared spectroscopy and density functional theory calculation on peptide analogs, represented by N-methylformamide (NMF) and N-methylacetamide (NMA). Interesting...

UV resonance Raman determination of molecular mechanism of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) volume phase transition.

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) is the premier example of a macromolecule that undergoes a hydrophobic collapse when heated above its lower critical solution temperature (LCST). Here we utilize dynamic light scattering, H-NMR, and steady-state and time-resolved UVRR measurements to determine the molecular mechanism of PNIPAM's hydrophobic collapse. Our steady-state results indicate that in...
